e.l.f. Makeup Review | e.l.f. Voxbox

I received the e.l.f. voxbox from Influenster, and wanted to share what I received in this box with you. I've always been on the fence about e.l.f, because I find their products have been hit and miss, but I actually like most of the products in this box.

These are the five products in the box. e.l.f. Hydrating Bubble Mask

I'm very picky about skincare. We all know this by now. However, I've never used a bubble mask before, so I couldn't wait to try it.

I really like the packaging because you just press the top down and the product dispenses through the hole in the top. This is extremely sanitary and keeps the product from being exposed to oxygen.

That's what it looks like when it starts bubbling up. It actually does a great job. After removing the mask, my skin felt smooth and clean, but not dry. My skin looked hydrated and healthy. e.l.f. Mineral Infused Primer

The mineral infused primer is meant to combat oil, flaky skin, enlarged pores and fine lines. This is a very slick, silicone primer. I've used this a few times, and I don't like the way it feels and this is solely because I am a silicone primer hater. This works the same as any other silicone based primer, honestly, I cannot tell a difference between this one and the high end versions, I'm just a snob and I hate the way it feels. e.l.f. Mint Lip Exfoliator

I really like the packaging on this. I get annoyed with the type in the jars, because I hate scooping it out. I like how this is in the shape of a lipstick bullet.

I also like that it's infused with oils, such as Vitamin E, Avocado, Grape, Jojoba and Shea Butter, so it's also conditioning my lips when I use it. e.l.f. Matte Lip Color

The e.l.f. Matte Lip Colors aren't something that's new to me, because I've used them in the past and really like them. This color is new to me, though and I adore it. This shade is Wine.

This is very matte, but still creamy enough to be easy to apply. It lasts a very long time. It can be drying, but that's to be expected from such a matte lip color. e.l.f. Baked Duo

I was really the most skeptical of this, simply because just by glancing at it, those powders look DRY.

I assumed there was no way that would have any pigment. It looked plastic. I'm not trying to be mean, but just from looking at it, it didn't look like it would be any good, in my opinion.

But, I was wrong. This ended up being my favorite thing. This is a gorgeous highlight, and it's very reflective and pretty. It was hard to catch it on camera, and it's more intense in person. It can be applied naturally, or more intensely. I misjudged this horribly, and it happens sometimes. Sometimes, it's really not so simple as just looking at makeup and making a snap decision of whether it's going to work or not. So, if you're after an affordable, cruelty free highlight, this one is $8. I think it's gorgeous. So, that's my e.l.f. Voxbox. What's your favorite e.l.f. product? Mary Kay Sun Kissed Influenster Vox Box Review

I was lucky enough to be chosen to test out the Mary Kay Sun-Kissed VoxBox through Influenster. *I received this free of charge for testing purposes. I am not required to review it or share it. My opinions are 100% honest.* I'll be totally up front with you and say that I've never used Mary Kay products in my entire life. I've always thought they were products that only older women used, and I hadn't ever given it a second thought. So, here's a review from a total skeptic.

I was shocked at how many items were actually in this box, as I had only expected to receive a couple of things. The box contained 7 makeup products and 3 brushes.

I'll describe, review and swatch the products below.

Mary Kay Translucent Powder: Controls unwanted shine all day. Retails for $16.00.

I like this powder, it does a great job of setting my foundation and concealer without giving me a white cast or a cakey face.

Mary Kay Mineral Cheek Color Shy Blush. Stay-True color defines cheekbones. Retails for $12.00.

This blush is extremely pigmented and blends nicely. It's a beautiful peachy color with a golden sheen. It looks so pretty when you're wearing it. I didn't notice any fading when I wore it for 7 hours.

Mary Kay Bronzing Powder. Creates a natural looking sunkissed glow. Retails for $18.00.

This is another product I was surprised by. The color isn't too dark and it also has some gold shimmer in it so it's definitely a bronzer you shouldn't contour with. It looks beautiful and natural on the skin. I'm super picky about blushes and bronzers and I loved both of these.

Mary Kay Cream Eye Color in Apricot Twist. Soft, creamy and long-wearing. Retails for $14.00.

At first I was not excited about this. I've tried tons of cream eye products and have had horrible experiences with them. This one applies sheerly at first and you can build up the color. I wore this without primer and I built up the color until it was the shade you see in the jar. I wore it all day and it did not crease. I'm really impressed as I have extremely oily eye lids and even MAC Painterly Paint Pot creases on me occasionally. I'll swatch this below, it's a beautiful pale gold shade.

Mary Kay Gel Eye Liner with Expandable Brush Applicator in Jet Black. Retails for $18.00.

I've tried enough gel liners to know that the only one I've ever really liked is MAC Fluidline, that is until I tried this one. It's very creamy, super pigmented and does not budge once it sets. Even my beloved MAC liner transfers to my eyelid, but this one hasn't. It also didn't come off with water, so I'll be using this a ton this summer.

Mary Kay NouriShine Plus Lip Gloss in Mango Tango. Retails for $14.00.

This is a beautiful coral-red gloss. The pigmentation is nice, it's smooth and only a little sticky.

I'm not a huge gloss fan but I like it.

Mary Kay Lash Love Mascara in Black. Defines, defends and delivers 4x the volume. Retails for $15.00.

This is another product that I expected to hate but ended up liking. I'm not in love with it though. It gives good volume and length with two coats. It gets clumpy if you aren't careful, but it makes your lashes look really nice. It doesn't flake or smudge. However, it takes a while to dry and I'm impatient so I always end up with mascara all over the place. If you don't mind a mascara that takes a bit to dry, you'll like this one.

Mary Kay Powder Brush. Retails for $16.00.

This is a nice, soft brush and it does a good job of applying my setting powder.

Mary Kay Cream Eye Color/Concealer Brush. Retails for $10.00.

This works nicely to apply the cream color I mentioned earlier.

I know the picture quality isn't the best as I'm currently using my iPhone for blog pictures and I haven't quite mastered it yet because I still can't get my camera and my laptop to be friends. Also, I'm paler than usual because I've been too lazy to tan, haha.

NYC Showtime Glitter Eye Liner

I received the NYC Showtime Glitter Eye Liner in the College Voxbox from Influenster.

This is a black glitter liner. At first, I was hesitant to use this, because I had owned an NYC liner a few years ago, and it was so hard, dry and impossible to use. However, I was pleasantly surprised by this liner.

This liner is extremely pigmented, very creamy and easy to work with. Also, it smudges really nicely before it sets, but once it sets, it stays put pretty well.

Although I haven't done it yet, I think this would work really nicely as a base for a dark & glittery smoky eye.

Okay, so I definitely like this liner, and it's under $2. The quality is great for that price. It's similar to the UD 24/7 liner, in that it's pretty smooth and easy to apply.

I wear contacts, and I have extremely sensitive eyes. I cannot wear this liner in my waterline. I tried, and I should have known I wouldn't be able to, as I can't wear most liners in my waterline. My eyes were red, puffy and watering within seconds of applying it. I'm not sure if it's the formula, the glitter or a mixture of both, but if you have sensitive eyes, just don't do it. Keep it away from the waterline.

That being said, for $2, this is a great eyeliner! If you've tried this, please let me know what you think! I like it, but I definitely won't be trading my UD 24/7 liner for it.
