Urban Decay has been killing it with these releases lately and we will discuss them all but today, we're talking about the Naked Petite Heat. It's the cute, little sister of the Naked Heat, with only 6 shades and packaging that fits in your hand.

The packaging is cute, and if you're familiar with the other Naked Basics palettes, this one is the same size and setup. The palette perfectly compliments the Naked Heat palette but functions as a standalone palette as well. The shades are a great range of light to dark, making many different looks achievable.

Let's talk about these shades:

  • INHALE - Cream demi-matte

  • VIBRATE - Soft nude-matte

  • HOT SPELL - Terra-cotta matte

  • WILD THING - Scorched orange matte

  • HEIST - Rich cayenne matte

  • STRIKE - Rich reddish-brown matte

The formula on these is nice. They are pigmented but not extremely pigmented. While I love my extremely pigmented palettes, this gives this one a little more versatility as the shades can be applied more sheerly or built up to be more intense. The shadows are very soft and blendable, but I don't find they blend together into one mass of color.

Strike takes slightly more effort than the other shades, while it's still blendable, it can be patchy and takes a bit more effort to really build up. All of the shades are totally matte except Inhale. Inhale has the slightest satin sheen to it that makes it really pop as a brow or inner corner highlight.

This palette is tiny and perfect for travel. The mirror inside is nice and it's small enough to fit in a clutch.

If you're a warm palette lover like me, this is for you. If you're sick of warm shades, you'll want to skip it. The colors are similar to those in the Naked Heat, but they have slightly different tones. This palette of course pairs well with Naked Heat, but it also goes nicely with ABH Modern Renaissance. The colors in Petite Heat compliment the warm tones in Modern Renaissance beautifully. In case you missed my Naked Heat review.

Obviously, this is not an absolute must-have, as no palette is but it is beautiful. I can absolutely recommend this palette and it is perfect for travel, you really wouldn't need anything else.

If you're interested, you can find the palette on Urban Decay's website or at Sephora. It retails for $29.

I'm wavering back and forth with this palette. I love the colours and the smaller size, but I have the original Heat palette and I'm not sure I wear it often enough to pick up this one. Decisions, decisions....

  17. I think I'm going to debate this with myself as long as I have the Naked Heat so far...I really want to get this, but then I wonder if I'd like the expanded shades of the bigger palette....and then I think how great this size is and that I'd probably prefer it anyway because I only use half the shades of a naked palette.....but my real question here is how similar at the orange shades to the UD x KL palette?
