Staying hydrated is super important to your health and well-being. It contributes to pretty much every aspect of your life. If you're dehydrated, not only will you not feel your best but you will also have other issues. Some of these are dry skin, acne, chapped lips, dry hair, brittle nails, headaches, slower metabolism.

Today, I'm going to share some of my favorite ways to stay hydrated, not only on the outside but also on the inside.

If you're an active person, staying hydrated is even more important. Working out and being active will cause you to become more dehydrated more often. One of my favorite ways to stay hydrated is with vitaminwater.

Not only does vitaminwater taste great, but it also contains vitamins and electrolytes. I encourage you to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated, but vitaminwater is a fun alternative.

In addition to drinking plenty of fluids, like vitaminwater, there are other steps you can take to stay hydrated.

  • Always have plenty to drink wherever you go. You don't want to depend on getting drinks while you're out or skipping out on hydration. One of the easiest ways to stay hydrated is to always have a drink with you. Water or vitaminwater is a great option, and if you're concerned about your drink getting warm, there are plenty of bottles available that will keep it cold for a long period of time.
  • Have something to drink as soon as you wake up. This may be obvious, but a lot of us forget to drink something as soon as we wake up. I typically drink a full glass of water each morning because it's been at least 8 hours since I've had something to drink, my body needs it!
  • Hydrate your skin! This is another thing that gets overlooked, but your skin also needs hydrated. I recommend applying your favorite lotion each night before bed and your favorite moisturizer and eye cream each morning and night. Hydrating your skin is important, even if you have oily skin!
  • Don't forget your lips! Lip balm is necessary year round, so wear it as often as possible to keep your lips plump and soft.
  • Don't leave our your hands! This is something I'm really bad about but your hands need moisturized often. They get dry easily so applying a hand cream often is vital.
  • Hair masks & oils. These are a necessity, year round. No one wants dry, frizzy hair and using a hair mask once a week and applying oil to your damp hair each time you wash it can make a huge difference. Hair needs hydration, too!
Doing these steps will not only keep you hydrated but will help you achieve the glowy, healthy looking skin we all want!
