I'm always looking for new foundations to try; I kind of think we all are. No matter how many foundations we find that we fall in love with, we're always searching for a new one to love. So, here I am with the first of two foundation reviews you'll see from me in the next few days.
The Pur Cosmetics Bare It All 4-in-1 Skin Perfecting Foundation is a 12 hour wear demi-matte foundation that comes in 10 shades.

I've been wearing this foundation over the past week and I've been trying it different ways to see how it works best for me. I was a little concerned since it's a demi-matte and I have dry skin; that immediately threw up red flags.
The first time I wore it, I applied it with the Pur Cosmetics Skin Perfecting Foundation Brush. While this blended the foundation in extremely fast and was super effective, it didn't look the best on my dry skin. For someone with normal or oily skin, this would be a great way to apply it as the brush blends it in effortlessly.
Pur Foundation Review
The next time, I applied it with a beauty blender and it went much better. Upon initial application, it looked awesome and looked great for about 4 hours before it started to look dry. Most foundations start to look dry on me at this point if I haven't mixed them with an oil or moisturized heavily beforehand, so I expected it. I was not disappointed.
Here's what it looks like on, this picture is unedited. Also, ignore my eyebrows, they are a wreck.

Since then, I've applied it with the beauty blender and I've alternated mixing it with oils, primers, and moisturizers and it's worked really well since. If I apply it this way, it will last all day without looking dry, and the coverage is still really good. Plus, it gives it a more glowy finish, which I prefer.
Without mixing this with anything, the Bare It All foundation has a medium-full coverage, mixing it brings it to a solid medium coverage. It's packaged in a squeeze tube, which I actually like, because I know I'll be able to get every last bit of the product out.
As I mentioned, there are 10 shades available. There's actually a shade that matches me.

  1. I'm not sure that any of those will be light enough for me :-/

  2. Oooh the holographic packaging is lovely! I'm pretty pale in comparison to most foundation scales - so it's nice to see that there are a wide range of shades.

  3. I bought the brush when PUR had a sale recently but need to go into Ulta to see if Porcelain would work for me. Sadly they don't do samples. My skin is dry but not very dry so this might work better for me than their previous foundation.

  5. I may have to test these out to see if one matches me. It's shockingly hard to match olive skin- things are either too pink or too yellow for me. I've only found one foundation that really works, but I'd prefer a little more coverage than mine offers.

  6. I actually don't use foundation unless I'm going to a special event so I probably won't check these out. They sound great though

  10. I really enjoyed the Hydro ones so I think I would definitely enjoy this one. I am a fan of PUR in that they always have shades for my warm skin tone. I know they don't always go too light for my fair skin gals, but it's hard to find one foundation that perfectly matches for me.

  11. Great review! Yeah, I didn't like using the brush with their foundation -- it's so thick and dries so quickly! I think it's odd they released them together, when they're not very compatible.

    1. It worked okay for me, but you definitely have to work super quickly. The brush works better with other foundations, for sure.

    1. I get that, I actually prefer tinted moisturizer/BB cream but since I have so many breakouts lately, I haven't been brave enough to wear a lighter coverage.

    1. This one is a lot different from that one, but I'd recommend going to Ulta if you can and testing it out.
