Today I've teamed up with Sally Beauty to bring you a quick and easy summer hair tutorial and show you how to get the look!
I've done posts like this in the past, but recently I've started styling my hair in a different way.
The style I'm going to share with you is a little different from what I've shown before and this is my current go-to for date night.
It's summer and no one wants to spend an hour or more standing in the bathroom using hot tools. It's hot outside, you're probably already hot and there's no need to spend all of that time making yourself even hotter for your hair. So here's a curly hair tutorial that took me a grand total of 5 minutes.
Here are the products and tools you'll need to get started:
First, a curling iron. Personally, I find it quicker to use a large barrel curling iron with the clip than a traditional wand. The one I use is from Hot Shot Tools and it's the 1-1/2" Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Iron.
It heats up extremely fast, has adjustable temperatures and a swivel cord.
Next, you'll need the Rock Your Hair Size Matters Big Volume Root Lift.
This is a Volumizing Mousse that I love to use in dry hair for extra volume.
Then, you'll need the Rock Your Hair Spray It Hard Big Volume Hairspray.
This holds the curls well, while leaving them touchable and giving volume.
Finally, you'll need the Beyond the Zone Beach Head Coastal Cooler.
This is a cooling shine mist for your hair.
So now that we know what we need, let's get started!
This is what I'm starting with. I just took it out of a bun and brushed it out.
To get the curls, I like to grab large sections of hair and curl them around the barrel in alternating directions. This gives more separation and the appearance that you spent more time on your hair than 5 minutes. My entire head gets separated into 6-8 sections. I like to leave an inch out at the bottom to help maintain some length.
I hold the curls around the barrel for 10 seconds per section.
Then, let them cool.
Next, flip your head upside down and spray the roots with Rock Your Hair Size Matters Big Volume Root Lift.
Once you've massaged that in, spray the rest with Rock Your Hair Spray It Hard Big Volume Hairspray.
Flip your head back up and part your hair. Comb your fingers through it to straighten the curls out a bit. Once you've done that, spray it with the Beyond The Zone Beach Head Coastal Cooler for a ton of shine.
Before & After:
Now, you're ready to go!
It's super fast, super easy and really cute.
I purchased all of these products and tools from Sally Beauty.

  12. Lovely curls! I seriously do not know why the "wands" were ever a trend… if you don't put down the clip, the curling iron becomes a wand. I am just going to start calling my curling iron a wand with a clip! haha
