Wet n Wild released a bunch of new products and brushes for spring. Some are limited edition, some are permanent so if you're a Wet n Wild fan, don't hold out, they might disappear. I've been trying to get my hands on a lot of the products, but they unfortunately don't seem to stock much Wet n Wild anywhere around me. I did find the concealer, brow gel, blush and a few brushes.
Highlight Concealer Drugstore
Today we're going to talk about the new Illumi-naughty Highlighting and Concealing Pen.
I found this at Walgreens and it's the only place I've seen it. It's not even on Wet n Wild's website for sale, so I'm assuming it's out of stock or their website hasn't been updated.
I'm not 100% sure, but I believe this comes in 3 different shades.
I-vory Into You is the shade I picked up and was the lightest shade I've seen.

I won't lie, I was hoping it would be a little lighter than it is because it's not viable for me to really highlight with at the moment because it matches my skin tone almost 100%. It'll be perfect for summer when my skin is more tan.
I really light how light this concealer feels on your skin. It doesn't have a ton of coverage, but it does help to really brighten the under eye area and make you look more awake.
It doesn't make my under eye area dry and it doesn't cake up on me. It doesn't crease either but I do have to set it because it is really hydrating and that can cause it to crease.
I have two problems with this product.
First, I hate the packaging. It's one of the twist up with the old school brush-type lip gloss applicator on the end. I hated these for lip gloss and I don't like it for concealer either.
Concealer and Highlight Pen
My other issue is that there's only 0.05 oz of product in this pen. To compare, my Nyx HD Concealer has 0.11 oz of product and they're the same price.
So the question is, despite its flaws, would I repurchase it and do I recommend it?
Yes and yes. I do really like this concealer and I've grown quite attached to it. I definitely recommend trying it because I love how it makes the area under my eyes look. I'm sad about how often this will have to be replaced, especially considering how difficult of a time I've had finding it.
I found this at my Walgreens for $5.99.
Have you tried this? What did you think?
Thanks for reading!

  1. I wonder how this product compares to the L'Oreal pens or the YSL Touche Eclat?

    1. I've never tried any of them but I would guess it's a similar concept.

    1. Me too! I have a whole drawer of them. I always forget about them, though and rarely use them.

  3. I don't wear foundation/or have the need for concealer, but I am always so curious about them. The price point isn't bad, even with the smaller amount of product.

    1. It's definitely not expensive, but still expensive for Wet n Wild. I'm currently trying to adjust my skin care routine so that I won't need to wear foundation anymore. Can't drop the concealer though, I have really dark circles under my eyes.

  4. I love WetnWild, but always have a hard time finding their new products in stores as well. I'm glad you like this...even if it was difficult to track down!

    1. It's always hard for me to find their products, too. I usually end up having to order them and their website never seems to have the new stuff.

  5. I like WetnWild but always feel like they are a little expensive for the product, which is funny for a budget product.

    1. I know! They used to be super inexpensive, but their prices have been slowly increasing, I assume because they're really popular now.

  6. That is an odd packaging for a concealer, but I still wanna find it now:)
