If you've been here a while, you know I've been trying out SO many skin care products over the past year, trying to find what works best for my skin.
Acne Fighting

I have dry, slightly combo skin as I get oily around my nose some days. I have large pores, redness, discoloration, sun spots and acne. I generally get hormonal acne every month and I've been trying to combat that lately.

I have so many products to talk about in the coming months, but today we're going to discuss Clearogen. Clearogen is designed to clear your skin by eliminating the root cause of acne, DHT production. It also works to normalize your oil production.
Acne Clearing

This is a three step process, including a Foaming Cleanser, Clarifying Toner and Acne Lotion. These work together to:
  • Reduce DHT Production and excess oil production
  • Block androgen receptors, minimizing oil gland stimulation
  • open pores & eliminate acne-causing bacteria
  • reduce irritation and inflammation allowing the skin to repair itself fully.
As I've been fighting with acne for the past couple of years, I wanted to give this a shot so I can let you know how it works. I'm always a little skeptical of skin care targeting in fighting acne, because all I can think of is how dry my skin is going to end up. Fortunately, that was not the case.
Acne Fighting Skin CAre

I've been using this 3 step system for 2 weeks. I'll be continuing to use it & I'll update either in another post or via social media with the end results. At the moment, I'm a fan.

I wanted to truly test it for the most difficult time of the month for me. Most women break out before and during their time of the month. Just another gift from mother nature. Since that's the time I struggle the most as well, that's the time I wanted to test this the most. And I did. And I've made it without a single pimple. Usually, I get at least 3, sometimes 5 or more. Occasionally. my entire chin and jaw line will be covered. This month? Nothing.

That in itself proved to me that Clearogen does in fact work. And it didn't dry out my skin. My skin is no more dry than before.

If you're suffering from acne and can't find anything that works for you, I really suggest trying this. If it doesn't work for you, they offer a 60 day money back guarantee. You can purchase it directly from Clearogen, in some spas or from Sephora.

It's Paraben Free, Sulfate Free and Phthalate Free.

Thanks for reading!

    1. Haha, that's always the way it works. I used Proactiv for a while a few years ago and it temporarily got rid of my acne and destroyed my skin in the process. Definitely loving this set, though.

  2. This sounds great...especially if it helped around your period. My acne (almost 30 yo!!) seems to be really hormonally controlled and it takes a special product to combat that!!

    1. Definitely. I'll be 29 this summer and I'm still dealing with hormonal acne. The hormones need to chill out, I'm almost 30; it's time to leave me alone. haha.

    1. Me too! My break outs seem to be 90% hormonal. It's hard to find the perfect skin care products, though. I'm forever searching, haha.
