I'm finally getting this look and review posted. I've literally been working on it all morning/afternoon. I just can't get my brain to work with me; it's somewhere else today.
So, at first I was going to do a simple look. Then, I wanted to do something dramatic. I settled on doing something light but dramatic, rather than the black eyeshadow and silver glitter I see everywhere.
*I meant to mention, ignore my brows! They're a wreck, but they're getting waxed later today.*
Here is some of the aftermath.
As usual, I wrecked my makeup room. Shocking, right?

soft cut crease
My goal was to use the MUG Foiled shadows on the lid and do a soft cut crease.
This is how it turned out.

I'll list the products used at the end of the post, but first, here's my review of the MUG Foiled shadows.
I purchased three of the Foiled Eyeshadows when the preorders opened up. There are still a few more I want to pick up soon.
The ones I grabbed are "In the Spotlight", "Houdini", and "Grandstand"
Makeup Geek Foiled Swatches
Here are the swatches. The first set of swatches is out of the light, just to show the color and pigmentation. That is legit one swipe, no primer.

And there they are in the light. Crazy, right? That shine is insane! Again, this is one swipe, no primer.
(In the Spotlight, Houdini and Grandstand)
The texture of these is unlike anything I've ever used. The closest I can compare is the L'oreal Infallible shadows, but those are somewhat chunky and these are so smooth.
These feel super creamy, almost like a cream shadow, but they're powder. It's so odd!
I find the only way I apply these is with my finger. They don't apply well with a brush, they apply much sheerer and don't have the incredible shine. These are really pigmented and don't seem to fade during the day, which is awesome. I do find, however, that these crease on me sometimes. Not so much the lighter shades, but Houdini has creased every time I've used it and it makes me super sad. Now, I do have extremely oily lids, but I've tried two different eye primers and a glitter glue and none worked. If anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know! I don't know what else to try! With a primer, the other two stay just fine. I can't wear any eyeshadow without a primer, so I haven't attempted it with these either considering how creamy they are.
Overall, I love these, even Houdini. I will find a way to make it work, and then I'll let you know what I did. Definitely pick these up! You'll love them!
These retail for $9.99 each at www.makeupgeek.com
