Quite a while ago, I purchased the Too Faced La Creme lipstick in Juicy Melons. I'm not sure why I've waited so long to review it, but you can rest assured I've had quite a lot of time to test this, as I bought it before summer and I've used it often.

I bought this lipstick partially on the name, partially on the packaging and a little for the color.

Too Faced La Creme Juicy Melons

The color is beautiful. It's a nice light coral shade, that leans much more pink than orange.
The packaging is amazing. It's a sleek gold tube, not shiny, almost matte which is nice because it doesn't get smudged with finger prints.
It's also nice and secure, and it doesn't pop open in my purse.

The formula. Oh my God, the formula. Butter. Butter, I tell you!
It glides on so smoothly, doesn't bleed, doesn't sink in the cracks in your lips as long as you exfoliate your lips regularly, as you should be! You can apply it semi-sheerly, or fully opaque in just a couple of swipes.
It stays on fairly well, but due to how smooth, creamy and moisturizing it is, it won't last through eating and drinking a lot.

I know it's almost fall. I know I should be ready to wear shades of Berry, Wine, Purples and Reds, but good luck prying this out of my fingers.

I think coral and orange-y colors are acceptable for fall and I won't take no for an answer.

Seriously, though. Whether you pick up this shade or not, do yourself a favor and just pick up one of these lipsticks. They have fall friendly shades, I swear. They have 20 different colors. :) The formula is wonderful. So silky and smooth, not the least bit uncomfortable on your lips.

You can get these from TooFaced.com or Sephora.com
They retail for $21 each. I know! It seems like a lot, and it kind of is. This is one of those investment, luxury products for me, that I rarely splurge on. I'd rather pay for quality than buy 45 drugstore lipsticks that bleed and dry out my lips.
I am NOT saying that I dislike drugstore lipsticks! I have some that I like, I have others, however, that wreck my lips like no other.

Anyway, I totally 100% recommend these and I intend to pick up another in a more fall friendly shade.

Thanks for reading!

Do you own one of these lipsticks? What do you think?
Are you planning to buy one? Let me know!
