I bought the MAC RiRi Woo lipstick when they re-stocked it with the Retro Mattes Collection. I'm behind everyone else, I'm aware.

I've also seen swatches of how similar it is to Ruby Woo, but I do not own Ruby Woo, so that doesn't bother me.

For those of you who don't know, if there is anyone at all, RiRi Woo is a blue-toned matte red lipstick.
It comes in the same black and silver tube as a regular MAC lipstick, but it has RiRi written on the side of the lipstick itself.

MAC Lipstick

The formula is a bit drier due to it being a matte lipstick. That being said, make sure you exfoliate and moisturize your lips well before applying to be certain it's smooth. It may dry out your lips after you wear it for a while.
Being that it's drier in texture and matte, it does last longer than a normal lipstick and will stain. I find this can last upwards of 6 hours, depending on what I'm doing. Less time if I'm eating and drinking of course.

I'll be 100% honest and tell you that I have NOT worn this outside of my home. I've worn it around my house for an entire day a few times, but I am not comfortable enough wearing red lipstick to wear it out.

Application is smoother than I had thought it would be, but still not as smooth as a satin formula. It is very pigmented, and opaque in a single coat, for me anyway.

The blue undertones in the lipstick make your teeth look very white, which is nice.

This, of course has the typically MAC lipstick scent, sort of vanilla-ish.

As I'm not a red lipstick wearer, as of yet, this is more of a collection sort of thing. I'm a Rihanna fan, and that's why I purchased this. I'm excited for the rest of the collection that launches in October, and I'll be purchasing more things if I can get ahold of it.

Do you need this lipstick if you already own Ruby Woo? Probably not.
If you're on the search for a nice, matte blue-toned red, however, I totally recommend it.

It retails for $15 and can be found on www.maccosmetics.com.

Thanks for reading!
xx

Do you own this lipstick? Do you own Ruby Woo?
Can you tell the difference between them?
