Today I have a guest blogger: Chetana from StyleCraze.

Keeping your skin always healthy and glowing is not an easy task. A healthy body is the home of a healthy soul and believe it or not beauty comes from within. So your daily beauty routine should be not be just about creams and beauty products but you should also take care of the food your eat and your diet in general.

Here's how you can get glowing skin that looks beautiful and feels healthy throughout the year.
  • Drink Lots of Water:

Upto 60% of our body is water. So we need to consume water every day to keep our body fit and fine. Drink lots of water every day even if you don't feel thirsty. Dehydration is not good for the body. It makes wrinkles and fine lines more apparent for the skin tends to get more brittle.
  • Use Less Soap:

Your skin has its own way of producing oils and keeping it healthy which soaps strip away. Those with dry skin especially should use very less soap on your skin for the production of natural oils is less already. The use of soaps will only make your skin more dull and lifeless. Wash your face but don't over use the soap. Use soap-less face washes for best results.
  • Eat Healthy:

Healthy skin is also dependent upon what you eat. So if you are eating more fried and unhealthy food, it will reflect upon your skin. Bad food habits can result in skin problems, dull skin and worse. Include some green vegetables, proteins and essential nutrients. A balanced diet will keep you and your skin healthy. Add nuts and fruits along with healthy amounts of protein sources like fish and meat.
  • Exercise Regularly:

Exercising not only makes you lean and strong, it also helps your skin younger. Exercise regularly so that you are healthy from within. Working out provides an extra boost of blood and oxygen to the cells making you feel energized and fit. This helps in keeping your system running smoothly.
  • Resist Sugar:

Sugar is bad for your health; by this we mean artificial sugar. Having artificial sweeteners and loads of sugar rich food does not make you healthy. Eating fruits will allow you to have that sweet touch in your life without any harmful side effects.
  • Use Minimum Of Makeup:

We don't want you to completely stop using makeup! We would never suggest that but removing it at night before going to bed is very important for your skin. The pores of our skin get clogged with the layers of makeup we use everyday so cleaning it at night is necessary. Always use a makeup remover to wipe out any traces of makeup. Wash and hydrate your skin before you sleep. This tip is applicable at any time but what you need to keep in mind is that during the summers, you sweat more and that attracts more dirt. It is best that we use makeup to the least amount to avoid additional clogging of our pores.
  • Sleep:

Sleep for at least 6-8 hours every day. Our skin tends to repair itself and get some much needed reprieve during this time. So sleep well to keep your skin healthy and glowing.
