This is part 2 of my Makeup Collection series, and this will show all of my mascara.

Granted, I did just go through it about 2 weeks ago and tossed all of the expired ones.

Hope you enjoy!

Now, I have just as many sample mascaras as full size.
Some people may ask why, but it's really simple.
Mascara can be very finicky. The mascara ads LIE. They photoshop, add in additional lashes, etc. So anytime I have an opportunity to get a sample size to TRY before I BUY, I'm all for it.

Most of the time you can get a good idea of whether you like the mascara or not by using a sample of it. Why would I want to risk wasting $20-$30 on a high end mascara, if I could try it first?

I only wish you could get samples of drugstore mascaras.

Onto the collection.

Makeup Collection
These are all of my full size, unexpired mascaras.

I'll give a mini review for each one. :)

Julep Volumizing Mascara: I got this as part of a giveaway that I won. I won't lie, I am NOT a fan of it. It's kind of dry, it has a plastic bristle brush that PULLED MY EYELASHES OUT, and the formula stings my eyes, doesn't build up, barely goes on at all, and what does smudges and flakes all day.

Maybelline Great Lash: This mascara has been around forever. I've repurchased it many times. A ton of people hate it, but I like it for days when I'm not doing anything and just want to darken my lashes. No incredible lengthening or volume from this, but it's nice and black and works well on lower lashes, too.

L'oreal Voluminous False Lashes Waterproof mascara: It's a fiber mascara, and I like it. It really does make it look like you have more lashes, and it lengthens pretty well. If you try to build the volume up, though it will clump on you. The formula is pretty wet and the brush has nice bristles that you can really feel going through your lashes. I like it. :)

L'oreal Voluminous False Lashes Mascara: This one isn't waterproof, and I don't like it as well. Usually I like the non-waterproof version better, but that isn't the case with this one. It still lengthens nicely, but has even less volume. Leaves your lashes soft though.

Milani Total Lash Cover Mascara: I got this mascara when I won the Milani 10 days, 10 prizes giveaway. I'm going to be 100% honest right now, I hate this mascara. It's very wet, clumpy and flaky. Gives no length or real volume. The end of the wand has no bristles. It's a chunk of plastic at the end. It's awful, don't buy it.

Maybelline XXL Pro Mascara: This one a double ended mascara, much like the Double Extend mascaras, with the primer on one end and mascara on the other. I love it. Gives nice length and volume, holds a curl, doesn't flake or smudge.

Max Factor 2000 Calorie Waterproof Mascara: It's story time. I live in the United States, which stopped carrying Max Factor years ago. This was my holy grail mascara. I've never found one that compares, and I'm running out of my last one. When I heard they were discontinuing it completely, I bought probably 20 tubes. I'm still devastated. The brush is amazing, formula is amazing, and I can't find anything exactly like it. I'm still heartbroken over it.

L'oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara: I really like this one. The brush is nice, formula is nice. This is honestly the closest I've found to the Max Factor mascara. Lengthens & gives nice volume, very black, doesn't smudge or flake. 100% recommend this.

Now for the mini's!

Makeup Collection

Avon Mini Wish Off Waterproof Mascara: We'll just say, I don't like it. I like the brush, but that's it. It's way too wet, and I mean, it takes a while to dry completely. Also, it has a strong smell, strong enough to irritate my eyes the ENTIRE time it's on.

Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara: I love, love, love it. The brush is small and dense, and the formula is pretty dry, so if you like a drier formula, try this one out. However, the samples of this have hardly anything at all in the tube, and it's sad.

theBalm What's Your Type? Mascara in The Body Builder: This mascara is pretty nice. It's really dark, and gives nice volume, as it's supposed to. You won't get any length from it though. I do like it.

Pop Beauty Smokey Lash Kapow!! Mascara: This is another I've really started to like. Probably because the brush is similar to that of the Max Factor 2000 Calorie, only slightly larger. I've been really into mascara's with larger brushes lately, as long as it's not plastic bristles, I hate those! The formula is nice, dark & gives pretty nice volume, a little length. I'm a fan.

Clinique High Impact Mascara: This is a new favorite. I love the big brush, I love the volume and length that it gives. It doesn't flake or smudge. It leaves my lashes soft. I'm debating on buying the full size. I just hate spending that much on a mascara. Totally recommend this one!

Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara: Another favorite. Also has a large brush. Honestly, the brush and formula for this and the Clinique are very, very similar. I'm not sure I could tell them apart. Love them both!

And, that's it for my mascara collection.
Did anyone else use the Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara? Did you find a dupe for it?
