As you may remember, I purchased Too Faced Shadow Insurance when I went to Sephora last weekend, because they were sold out of the Urban Decay Primer Potion. I've been using Urban Decay Primer potion for a little over a year now, and I've loved it. No other primer had compared to it.

I have very dry skin, but the oiliest eyelids you will ever see. I used to use the Nyx HD Primer, and it worked okay. When I first got it, it worked amazingly, but after a couple of months, it just stopped working as well. So, it was at that point that I purchased the Urban Decay Primer Potion, and it has always worked for me. It's kept my eyeshadow in place, and without fading or creasing for over 16 hours before. It was an absolute miracle worker.

Then, my tube finally ran out, and my Sephora was sold out. What was I to do? The girl working there talked me into trying the Too Faced Shadow Insurance. She insisted it was even better. I was so full of skepticism when I bought it, and completely ready to rip it apart when it didn't compare.

So, I tried it. Everyday. For the last week. What did I discover? That girl was right. This is great. I can't say that it's better than Urban Decay, but I can say that it's an equal. Looks the same, feels the same, works the same. If I was given both in plain containers, I wouldn't be able to tell them apart. Both do everything they're supposed to do. I wasn't disappointed at all. But, then, it's only been a week and only time will tell how it stands up after a couple of months. I'll keep you updated.

Here's the info on the two:

Urban Decay Primer Potion comes in a squeeze tube, with a lid that screws off. It's 0.37 fl oz. and retails for $20.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance also comes in a squeeze tube, with a lid that screws off. It's 0.35 fl oz. and retails for $18.

So, it's essentially the same value. Both companies are cruelty-free as well, which I love.

So, there's not really a difference, to me...yet.

I'll keep you updated. :)
