I recently purchased L'oreal True Match Lumi Healthy Luminous Makeup foundation.
That's one hell of a title, haha.

Picture of the bottle from my monthly favorites post. You can find that here.

Swatch of the foundation, hard to see because it really blends in!

Here is the description for it:
40% pure water for all day hydration. Antioxidants Vitamins C and E for improved clarity and skin tone. And Liquid Light Technology for an instant, luminous glow. Isn't it time you met your match?

Anyhow, I purchased this from Ulta, and it retails for $12.99, which I consider to be a reasonable price, but it is a higher priced drugstore foundation.
This almost kept me from buying it.

Let me tell you about my experience with foundations. I hate them, and I mean that. I always have, because they can be so finicky. My skin is dry, and when I say dry, think of a desert. That's my face.
Red, flaky, disaster. Foundations don't sit well with that. They just turn me into a flaky, patchy, splotchy mess. No thank you.

I've tried a ton of foundations and tinted moisturizers. Covergirl, L'oreal, Revlon, Urban Decay, Neutrogena, liquid, powder, mousse, doesn't matter, 95% of them didn't work for me.

I hesitated when buying this foundation. It's fairly new, and lacks a ton of reviews, which was something else that worried me.

But, since I tan, and my skin is at least 5 shades darker than my old foundation, I needed a new one.
I had been using Covergirl Natureluxe, and it was okay. It just felt like it sat on top of my skin, rather than blending in, and seemed to get cakey.

I broke down and bought this foundation. In case you were wondering, my shade is Classic Tan. :)
When it finally got here, I was afraid to use it because I HATE buying products and then not being able to use them. Throwing away money is not something I like to do.

I finally tried it, and I've been using it for a few weeks now. I wanted to have time to find out how well it really works, to get a nice review for it.

I love it.
It's medium coverage, it blends well, it's lightweight, and it has a dewy finish.
It's actually quite moisturizing and doesn't look cakey, even with two layers on.
It's not matte, so it makes dry skin look a ton better, but I'm afraid if you have really oily skin, it may make you look even oilier because it isn't matte.
Also, this lasts on my skin without primer for 7-8 hours, 12+ with Smashbox Photo Finish Primer.

As I said earlier, I have a lot of redness and dry patches, and it really does cover those. It even helps with my dark circles.

I really love the packaging too.
It's in a glass bottle, and it has a pump. I love when my foundation has a pump on it.
I hate unscrewing a cap and dumping foundation out. So messy and wasteful.
