It's that time! I was going to wait a couple of days before I wrote this post, but the I actually got the job that I interviewed for yesterday, and I start Wednesday, so I'm going to go ahead and put this post up. I'm also in the process of writing a couple other posts and scheduling them to post while I'm at work, in case I don't have time to write them once I get home. I do have a husband, a dog and two chinchillas to take care of. :)
Tomorrow I'll be uploading a post about my most worn jewelry. Considering doing an updated skin care post, but you guys should comment and give me ideas of things you want to see!

I know, my favorites list is quite extensive this month.
I've been trying a lot of new things, and been playing with a lot of new makeup.
Stop judging me. :)
I did break it down into groups for you guys.

Two hair products and a perfume.
got2b Guardian Angel Heat Protectant. I cannot say enough good things about this stuff. It keeps my hair from frying because I blow dry it and straighten it everyday. I know, I'm terrible and my hair hates me.

Design Line Texture Balance Liquid Sheen. I bought this at a salon. Okay, no, my mom bought this for me when we were at a salon. It's supposed to help keep my hair healthier, and I'm supposed to use it when I blow dry my hair. It makes my hair really shiny and soft, and I love it. The smell is kind of strong, but once your hair dries, it goes away. If you use too much, you'll be a greasy, funny smelling train wreck. :) You've been warned.

Victoria's Secret Dream Angels Desire. I love this perfume. My husband bought it for me around Christmas time because my old one ran out. I've been using this perfume for years, and it's my all time favorite.
It's described as having notes of ivy, magnolia and freesia mixed with yellow plum, frangipani and pink peony. I honestly couldn't tell you if that's what I think, I just know it smells good.

OPI- Every Month is Oktoberfest
I did a post about this here, so go there if you want to see swatches.
I'm positive this will be making more appearances in future favorites posts, and this is going to be my go-to color this fall.

Seche Vite dry fast top coat. I use this every time I paint my nails. It makes them dry a little quicker and once they're completely dry, they are so shiny and feel much stronger. I also notice that my polish chips less when I use this top coat.
As far as Fast Dry goes, I don't agree!
Yes, it dries your nails almost instantly to a Light Touch only! If you push down on them or bump them on anything accidentally they will still smudge!
It still takes around 25-30 minutes to fully set and dry.

L'Oreal Youth Code Dark Spot Corrector Serum.
I won this from L'oreal on a twitter giveaway, and I've been using it for about two months now, twice a day.
I absolutely love it.
I tan, and because of that, I get dark patches on my face.
This has done a great job of fading those, so I'll be repurchasing this when I run out.

Philosophy Take A Deep Breath moisturizer.
I got this in a Glam Bag, and tossed it aside because, it was just another moisturizer and I already have like 8 different ones, none of which I really cared for.
I love this one!
It's a gel, and it absorbs so quickly, doesn't make you oily or shiny, and leaves your skin feeling smooth and soft all day!
It's so expensive though! $34 for 2 oz. I'm not sure I can pay that much for it.
I am in need of a cheaper, new moisturizer though if anyone can suggest one!

Over/Under Lip Conditioner
You can get it here
Basically, you apply this before you put on your lipstick to moisturize your lips and make a smoother surface.
I use this after I exfoliate and before I put on lipstick or lip gloss.
It absorbs into your lips quickly, leaving a nice, smooth surface.

Mac Viva Glam Nicki lipstick.
It goes on smooth, and it's a really bright pink color.
I absolutely love it, and it's one of my go-to colors now.

Nyx Lipstick - Power
I received this in a Glam Bag
It's really smooth, super pigmented and is a purple toned pink.
It's a really bright color, and looks great layered with Nars - Turkish Delight.

Marbella Liquid Eyeliner Pen.
I also received this in a glam bag.
I talk about this eye liner all of the time, because I use it all of the time.
It's a felt tip pen, and is so easy to use, and it's very quick and less messy than pencil or gel liner.
It's nicely pigmented, and dries almost instantly.
I've used it for about 2 months now, almost daily and it hasn't dried up or ran out yet.
It says not to use with contact lenses, but I always do, and up until yesterday I had no idea why.
I got it on my contact yesterday, a tiny, tiny dot. Now my entire contact lens is pink and you obviously can't see through it anymore. Why pink? I don't know. But I'm pretty mad about it.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow - Midnight Cowgirl
This quickly made it to my favorites.
It's a very, very pale yellow with a slight gold tinge. It also has a lot of gold glitter in it.
I'd honestly like it a lot more without the glitter, but I still love it.
I've been using it as a highlight in the inner corners of my eyes on days when I do a bronze-y look.

Salty Cosmetics Pigment in Glamazoid
I know, I got this is a Glam Bag too!
At first I was much less than impressed, as I assumed they had sent me a plain white pigment, which is totally not exciting in the least. But then I swatched it and it's white with a bright purple shine. I instantly fell in love.
I also use this as an inner corner highlight most days.

L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara
Every one has heard of or used this mascara. Some were more impressed with it than others, but that's how it goes with makeup products. What works for me, may never work for you.
Anyway, this mascara gives me length and nice volume. It's also super pigmented and makes me lashes jet black. I've heard people say that it flakes on them, I haven't had any issues with smudging or flaking and I don't use the waterproof formula.
I hate waterproof mascaras, they're too difficult to remove and it seems to damage my lashes.

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural in Medium.
I've been using this for a little over a month now, and I won't use anything else.
It is smooth, provides some coverage, and it looks natural, not powdery.

Covergirl Natureluxe Foundation in 340/Maple.
I've heard a lot of mixed reviews on this foundation. I personally love it, but I need a new one because I initially bought this when I started tanning, and thought it would be dark enough, but after two months of tanning, it's too light and I need a darker shade.
This foundation is light coverage. It's buildable and evens my skin tone in one layer. It makes my skin look smoother, and covers my redness without looking cakey.
It does have a strange cucumber-ish smell, but it's not necessarily bad, and it does fade away as soon as it dries.

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer.
I received this from Smashbox when they gave them away on their facebook page.
It does really well with making a smooth surface for my foundation, as well as keeps my foundation on for a much longer time, without me getting shiny or blotchy.
I don't use this everyday. Only when I'm wearing makeup on really hot days, or when I need my makeup to stay on for a really long time, which is good because this stuff also isn't cheap, and I can't afford to repurchase right now.

Okay, that's my favorites for August. I know that was long, and I ramble. I can't help it.

On a very sad note, I'm almost completely out of my Urban Decay Primer Potion!
I hope I can stretch it until I get a couple of paychecks and get my bills caught up as I definitely can't afford anything extra right now, even makeup!

Thanks for reading, and let me know if you have a really nice, inexpensive moisturizer that would work for dry skin.
Also, comment if there's something you'd like to see me post about!
