At the same time that I picked up the Rimmel Kate Moss 107 Lipstick, I also bought Revlon Black Cherry lipstick after hearing so many bloggers rave about it.
Right at the time that I bought it, I also saw a few posts from bloggers who disliked it.
So, here's what I thought of it.

Revlon Lipstick

Revlon Lipstick
The packaging is black and gold, classy and simple. I like it. The tube looks nice enough, and the lipstick is such a beautiful color.
The color really is self explanatory, Black Cherry is about as accurate as it gets. It's a deep red, more on the berry side than red, but nonetheless.
Now, application is tricky.
It goes on smooth, at first. It bleeds, it sinks into lines and if you keep putting it on it can get patchy.
I find that this lipstick can be difficult to wear without gloss, and even that adds to how slick it is.
I'm never a fan of lipstick that bleeds and slides around, because I don't want to be the girl checking the mirror every 5 minutes to make sure I don't have a clown face or red teeth. I prefer something that stays put and isn't patchy, and this just didn't do it for me.
The color is beautiful and the pigmentation is pretty good. It even looks good, if you are willing to upkeep it.
It wears off unevenly and I'm just not a fan.
If you don't mind "difficult" lipsticks, this is a great drugstore find.
With some lip liner and a little effort, this could look amazing. I'm just not into lipsticks that require extra effort from me.
The color is beautiful. But, I think you can find a similar color with a different formula for around the same price.
You can find this for around $5-$7.
