Pop Beauty Smoky Lash Kapow Mascara

The Pop Beauty Smoky Lash Kapow Mascara was sent in the February Ipsy bag. I know, I'm late on actually reviewing this, but I honestly forgot I had it until about a week ago.

I was looking for a mascara to use, when I pulled this one out.

I really liked the brush when I looked at it before, so I decided to go ahead and use this one.

I really like the way it applies, it really gives nice volume & length without much clumping. The wand is really easy to work with, and it didn't irritate my eyes.

I even considered buying a full size tube of this mascara.

I looked in the mirror about 2 hours later and notice that I'm the new owner of raccoon eyes. Oh yes. I was thrilled! 

So, at first I thought, well, I just got a new contact prescription and my eyes were really watery and this isn't waterproof, so maybe that's the issue.

I've worn Pop Beauty Smoky Lash Kapow three times since, while wearing my glasses, no more watery eyes.

I still have raccoon eyes. And if I clean that up and leave it on, it will eventually do it again. Once it goes through the raccoon phase, it starts flaking like crazy.

Does anyone else have any experience with this mascara?
Did I receive a bad tube?

I was really impressed at first, and it's disappointing.

I guess for now I'm still looking for my new perfect mascara.

Maybe I'll try the L'oreal Telescopic Shocking Extensions next.
