I received my January Ipsy/My Glam bag yesterday. I actually got this one early, but I wasn't excited for this one. I really like the bags with mostly makeup, and this one wasn't quite what I look for.
So, we got another Soho brush. That was fine with me, because I actually liked the first one they sent. However, I do not need another concealer brush. I really wanted the crease brush. I have no use whatsoever for this brush. I kind of wish they would have done a survey to decide who receives what.
This retails for around $7.
Big Sexy Hair Spray and Play travel size hair spray. This I've actually been wanting to try out, so I'm glad I got it. This retails for around $6.
I was okay with receiving this. Can't have too much lotion, I guess. Also, it smells pretty nice. That being said, mine is BROKEN. It does not close, and it was like this when I received it. Which means, I can't carry it around with me, defeating the purpose of having a mini lotion.
This retails for $7.
And yet another nail polish. Don't get me wrong, I love nail polish. BUT, I'm kind of tired of seeing them in my bag every month, and not at least having the option of choosing my own color. Yet another survey that should have went out. This is the color Bloody Mary, and it's just a basic red polish. I don't wear regular red polish, so I'll never use this. It retails for $13.
Josie Maran Argan Oil. I was kind of excited to receive this and try it out, because I've heard nice things about it. This is 5mL, which is 1/3 the size of the travel size, making this worth ~$4.
The total value of this bag is about $37.
So, that's it for the My Glam/Ipsy bag for January. I wasn't really a fan of this bag, but that's okay. I still love Ipsy, and I'll stay subscribed. You're not going to be 100% happy every month, and that's just the way subscription services are.
If you'd like to sign up, head to Ipsy.com to get on the waiting list. This is open to U.S. and Canada! It costs $10, and shipping is free. :)
Expect to see my Beauty Army box for this month soon, as it shipped out two days ago. I'm very excited for it this month.
Let me know what you think of your Ipsy bag!
