I purchased the L'oreal Nail Polish in Brit Invasion a couple of months ago, and I just got around to trying it out. This was a limited edition polish, and I'm honestly not sure if it's available anymore.
It took me a while to decide to use this, because I honestly wasn't too sure about this color for me. It's a beautiful color, don't get me wrong. I'm just not a brown-beige kind of girl. And that's exactly what this color is. It's a beige-y taupe-y color with bronze and gold micro shimmer. It's beautiful. I'd love it on someone else. I'm not a fan of it on me.
As far as the formula, this is two coats with 1 coat of Butter London Hardwear topcoat.
It's not 100% smooth, there are a couple of bare spots, 3 coats would have been perfect. However, this isn't the fault of the nail polish! My nails are seriously damaged as you can see in the pictures. I removed the acrylic nails, then press on nails, so needless to say, I have flaky uneven nails right now.
The formula is nice. It goes on smoothly. It's fairly pigmented. Definitely needs at least 2 coats, as one is kind of sheer and minimally streaky. I love the bronze-y gold shimmer.
This is a very beautiful polish. Very nice for fall and winter. Just not for me!
So, I'll probably be selling this polish, as it's only been used 1x and I think it needs a home where someone could use it.
I hope you enjoyed this post! If everything goes as planned, I'll have a post up tomorrow for The Balm Nude Tude palette. :)
